On a scale of 1-10 how badly would you want Texas to bring in Bailey? and 1-10 what are the chances it happens?

6 for me. 8 if it means he doesn’t go to an sec rival

would have to rename the nascar package to something more fitting. Formula 1 front with Simmons, Bailey, Hill, Moore, and Terry?  Sheesh 

I am still wondering a bit what the plan for him would be. 

Probably a 6.5 considering he did just have 7.0 sacks last year. More than 2x the next highest sack-getter on Stanford a year ago, and in this Texas front seven, he would be doubled exactly 0 times next fall. 

4.5 - I'm glad he's interested, but is the marginal increase in what he would provide worth what we will need to pay to get him here? 

I'll trust the staff, but this is the deepest spot on our team, and adding another body doesn't seem add a ton to what we currently have.

The plan would be to destroy opposing QBs and have ultimate pass rushing depth.

One of your competitors just published a video in which they described Bailey as a “backup” and compared him to Ovie Oghoufo and Ben Davis as an edge prospect. On a scale of one to ten, how laughable is that assessment of David Bailey?

That surprises me.  You must really be high on him, because to get him means NIL money gets spent and you risk a promising edge hitting the portal.

And therein lies the beauty of the transfer portal.  You can risk losing a promising edge seeking more playing time but at the same time bring in a productive edge looking to boost his NFL draft stock at a more established Power 4 program.

We are planning to rotate guys a lot this season due to length of season including playoff and CCG. You can never have too much quality depth especially at the most critical to success position on defense, pass rusher.

He’s a difference maker so 10

Is he friends with Brady?  Assuming they were at Mater Dei same time?
