Stanford EDGE rusher David Bailey is set to visit Texas on Tuesday according to a report from On3 Sports.

Bailey recorded 7.0 sacks for Stanford in 2024 and was in Lubbock Monday for a visit with the Red Raiders. According to the report, a visit to UCLA is in play as well.

The 6-foot-3-inch, 240-pound linebacker also recorded five forced fumbles last fall.

He’s really, really good. I’m guessing with Trey Moore moving to OLB and Vasek constantly injured, the coaches want to have a third top-tier edge to complement Burke and Simmons. Right now our experienced depth (Burke, Simmons) is thinner at edge than it was last year (Moore, Simmons, Burke, Sorrell). Having Bailey, Burke, and Simmons as our top-3 would be a pleasant update.
