I have no clue how North Carolina made the tournament. Probably the biggest miss.

– Beat Xavier

– Beat Illinois

– Lose to Kentucky

Feels like the best case imo.

Kobe was the same age here as Walter Clayton Jr.  now.

The Auburn Tigers' starting five in college basketball has an average age of 23.2 years old, which is just younger than the Oklahoma City Thunder's starting five (24.4).

Kentucky is such a weak 3-seed and they're always just disastrous in March. Illinois is probably a tougher matchup than Kentucky.

NBA is a pansy league now.  You think Bird, Magic or Kobe would have let a Euro goober be the beat player in the league? Of course, the rules have been Europeanized now to accommodate offensive Euro pansies. Why I don't watch anymore. Gerry doesn't seem to mind.

Tre Johnson wont be crap in the NBA. Rip Hamilton and Ray Allen weren't two HOF guys. Not close.

I'd take Walter Clayton Jr over Tre Johnson in NBA any day of the week, Better ball handler. Better shooter. Better defender. That won't change in next three years. Neither all-star caliber.

For Gerry and Rod. I dunked in game against Waskom in 1989 on an alley oop to myself off the backboard.  Had a goal tending call against Hugh Springs later that season. Strange play. Coach for Hugh Springs got a tech for complaining about me blocking a dunk. I hung on the rim before the actual block. We were getting killed. I played with those guys in summer league. My coach, John Moss, told us during a time out that if we got dunked on again he'd run us until we dropped. Next play, big guy stole an inbound pass. I jumped and hung on the rim before he got there. Blocked the dunk while hanging on rim. Hugh Springs coach went nuts. Ref told him the block was clean, but he gave me a tech for hanging on the rim.
