This occurred while he was on staff for Oregon, but not charged until yesterday.

Yeah but why would you bring it into your program if you’re LSU?

Because he was just charged yesterday and they didn’t know?

These teams have incredible resources to vet anyone they want. I have a hard time believing they just didn’t know but maybe

Don't gloat about things like this.  Every program has flawed humans and it is just a matter of time until your glass house gets hit with a rock.

So, your theory is LSU intentionally hired a low level staffer knowing that he would be eventually charged by Oregon police for choking his lady?  Or is your theory that LSU has sources placed in the Lane County, Oregon District Attorney’s office to monitor pending investigations and possible criminal charges being filed?

Whichever, it’s an interesting theory.

I’m saying I doubt there’s no way that they just didn’t know about the incident. I could be wrong but it seems unlikely to me they were completely unaware. A basic background check would reveal the incident

Can this standard now be applied to the Xavier Worthy thread?

Teams and organizations turn people away all the time for character issues. So, yes it could be if a team doesn’t want that baggage. Not sure why it’s such a hot take. Pretty common actually

Well, obviously, because LSU would have no idea that a staffer they hired would later be charged for choking his lady while employed at Oregon.  But other than that…

I guess Texas should’ve turned away Chris Beard and Xavier Worthy for being charged with beating up / choking their ladies as well?  If only Texas had turned them away for character issues…like a good organization.

He was arrested for the incident before he was charged so they’d absolutely be able to know about it. That’s how the justice system works. You don’t get charged first

and Texas did turn away Chris Beard. What are you talking about? He’s not coaching at Texas anymore is he?

Parks was arrested on Sunday, March 2, and charged the following day (March 3).  He had been hired by LSU in February.

The incident took place on Dec 17, in Oregon, while Parks was on the Ducks staff.
