I’m on my way to Moody center for the men’s basketball game, so my updates will be sparse early

The Longhorns go down in order in the first. 

M1: UT 0, TT 0

Harrison opens his outing with a strikeout.

A one-out double by Damian Bravo and a groundout put a runner on third with two outs for Tech.

Make it runners at the corners after Galvan is called for catcher’s interference.

Flores makes the play to get the Longhorns out of the inning. The Red Raiders strand two in the bottom of the first and the game is scoreless after one.

End of 1: Texas 0, Texas Tech 0

Flores is on first with one out on the top of the second thanks to a Tech fielding error.

First and second with one out after a single to right by Schuessler.

Chamberlain walks to load the bases, Farmer gets hit by a pitch and the Longhorns strike first.

It’s a 1-0 lead for Texas with one out and the bases loaded in the top of the second.

There’s a big blow. Galvan comes through with a two-run double to left. It’s a 3-0 lead for the Longhorns.

BOOM!  Three-run bomb by Mendoza and a solo shot by Gasparino make it a 7-0 game.

Seven runs on five hits for Texas in the top of the second. The Longhorns knocked the Tech starter out of the game. Harrison takes the mound with a 7-0 lead.
