New Mexico hired Olen.  I wonder if he will find out the Big West will be a better conference than the remnants of the MWC.

I don’t think Beard to aggy makes sense for either party.  Beard would jump at the first offer from a better program in an instant plus the ceiling at aggy isn’t much higher than ole Miss.

Beard is having to convince others to hire him. See Gerry’s comments on the Indiana job. I completely agree he would leave A&M, but I could see him making that move. It is better than Ole Miss. Buzz has done a good job there. I do wonder what Beards forever job is now. 

It's clear that as long as Trev is calling the shots in Aggieland, it's not really a place to stay unless you're the football coach. Even that's not great compared to blue blood football programs, just better than the support for other sports. 

Beard wants a job at a top ten or historical program. He'll probably need to take an Ole Miss or an A&M to a final four to make that happen.
