Otz and Drew told them no.

I dunno about preferring DeVries to Chris Beard, if that was a thing.

Allegedly the old money for IU don't want Beard due to the woman beating.

Texas expected to be in the 8+mill range in NIL per other coaches.

@Gerry Hamilton wasn’t Beard doing everything he could to be considered for the Indiana job?

You think this was Indiana’s first choice? Second? Third?

This isn’t about Indiana it’s about Texas.

Texas is a better job than Indiana at this stage especially if CDC is willing to spend

The point was that they went after a number of coaches that have been mentioned as possible Texas coaches. Money did not work with Drew or Otz. Drew turned Kentucky down last year. So it’s not always about all the money. The Kentucky offer was higher than what Drew made at Baylor. There have to be other factors that draw elite coaches to Texas. If opening the bank made coaches come here then let’s get Jon Scheyer, Pearl, Oats or Hurley.

New SFA coach Matt Braeuer was a high school hoops teammate of Ramonce Taylor at Belton.

We don’t know what kind of money they have or offered

For those wondering:

I'll believe it when I see it.
