Is Texas About to Hire DE Coach away from Ohio State?

Featured Replies

Love reading that Sark is interviewing OSU assistant LaAllan Clark to possibly fill new position on defensive staff, focused on developing defensive end pass rush.   Looks like he’s trained over 50 NFL Defensive Ends.    Hope this happens as Sark keeps raising the bar.   Hook em!

I was wondering what the role would be. Hopefully this former tOSU coach works out better than the Mensa Meathead.

We’ll see. Don’t have a great feel for it.

A bit surprising. Kenny Baker did a great job with the pass rush this year.

I’d rather have Larry Johnson than his analyst understudy.

Don’t need Larry Johnson creating chaos in our coaching staff.

According to the article:

The domino effect of the rumored fracture between Knowles and defensive line coach Larry Johnson could be playing out with real consequences. Johnson, turning 73 this year, reportedly had more say in how Knowles ran his defense than what is normal for a defensive line coach. It's possible that Johnson's return could push Knowles out the door.

Not surprised a pre-title Day wouldn’t or couldn’t step to the coaches he inherited, especially a great one, from Meyer. He obviously should have a backbone now. Sark had better and I think he would be able to manage egos if he’s going to have elite guys on the staff.

Open secret that if Knowles leaves, it’s the fiancé (OU) or ridiculous money (ND or PSU). It won’t be because of Johnson.

At least the Longhorns aren’t making coaching decisions like the Cowboys.  Sark is a smart man for not entertaining that opportunity.  He and CDC know how to pick’em.

Agree.   As a lifetime Cowboys fan back to the 70s, 80s and 90s, it is impossible to be a fan these days given the complete joke Jerry is.   Only seem focused on ego, control and making money.

Feeling incredibly grateful the Horns are in great hands and masterful leadership with CDC and Sark!!

Hook em!  🤘🏼🐂🧡
