My biggest heartbreak as a Texas fan was the Cotton Bowl after the undefeated 1977 season, when we had the Coach of the Year (Fred Akers), the Outland Trophy winner (Brad Shearer), the Heisman Trophy winner (Earl Campbell) and were undefeated in the regular season, then lost to Notre Dame.

I am not watching it, I tried watching the national championship last year and simply couldn't, it will make me sick to my stomach.

If it's not heavily influenced by Vegas I think Ohio State 38-13

Football 2024 is dead to me. Have not read a single article on that game or even thought about it. Our last game  to me was the championship and we blew it so looking forward to next season.

Maybe we gave the blueprint to defense against Jeremiah Smith! I do think Ohio State has more avenue's to victory, but I like the Nortre Dame coach.

I hope the Buckeyes win selfishly as a Longhorn fan.   Makes our loss in semi finals slightly less painful but more importantly, it would make game 1 next season even more dramatic.   I wouldn’t be surprised to see UT and OSU to likely be #1 v #2 pre-season plus it would be great to beat defending national champs to start next season.    Hook em!!
