Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian will be speaking with the media Monday morning as part of a joint press conference with the Peach Bowl. 

Texas is coming off a 38–24 victory over Clemson in round one of the CFP. 

We should get going in the next five minutes or so. 

Looking for injury updates, as well as maybe an update on Bevo’s travel plans as Texas returns to Mercedes Benz Stadium. 

Kenny Dillingham of Arizona State will be on the call as well.

Texas and Arizona State have only met once, the 2007 Holiday Bowl.

I don’t believe it will be anywhere. 

Peach Bowl VP says the most interesting fact is ASU only gives up 8 turnovers this season, which is 2nd in the country. Meanwhile Texas has created 29 turnovers this year. 

Peach Bowl VP says he believes the game will be sold out by the end of the week. 

Bevo going?

Sarkisian says it is a heck of an honor to play in the Peach Bowl and to face ASU. 

Sarkisian credits Dillingham for winning the Big 12 in year one in the conference.  Says he knows how tough it is to win the conference in total. 

Sarkisian says a lot of Cam Skattebo fans in the Texas building. They watched him a few weeks ago before they knew they’d be playing asu. Now they will be game planning against him. 

Dillingham says it’s been remarkable how Sarkisian has changed the program. 

ASU HC Kenny Dillingham says Texas has the combination of talented players who play really hard and that’s not fun to play against. 

Sarkisian says Texas has a “real come to Jesus meeting” after the SEC Championship Game in regards to penalties. 

The Longhorns had 11 penalties vs. Georgia, then turned acting to have just 2 vs. Clemson. 

RT Cam Williams’ knee is “not as serious as we thought.” Says Steve Sarkisian. 

Williams had an MRI on Sunday. 

Sark also gives a lot of credit to Trevor Goosby for stepping in once again, this time at RT. 

Goosby stepped in against A&M after just seven snaps. Sarkisian says he’s been very proud of him. 

Sarkisian says he has watched a lot of plays from Coach Dillingham. Says he was very innovative. 

Mentioned watching Arizona State playing Washington last year in prep for Washington in the CFP Semis. 

Dillingham says Sarkisian changes his offensive scheme as well as anyone in the country.

Sarkisian says he loves the versatility of Gunnar Helm — Helm set the single season reception record for a TE. 

“I do think his catch radius is a positive for him and I believe Quinn trusts that.”
