I'm 100% serious ... Texas is a lot more talented and better.

But they have to go do it.

No better way to start the New Year off 🤘

Yep. The DT from Tatum High (Texas) Fite is a very good player ... but they are small. And their LB's and EDGE don't close angles on the perimeter fast enough either Texas is going to stomp a mud

ASU Total Offense = 37; Texas Total Defense = 3 (Advantage Texas)
Texas Total Offense = 14; ASU Total Defense = 36 (Advantage Texas)

ASU Rush Offense = 24; Texas Rush Defense = 10; (Advantage Texas)
Texas Rush Offense = 50; ASU Rush Defense = 28 (Advantage ASU)

ASU Pass Offense = 71; Texas Pass Defense = 2 (Advantage Texas)
Texas Pass Offense = 17; ASU Pass Defense = 71 (Advantage Texas)

I only saw ASU play once this season and it was the game against Texas State at night that they barely scraped by in. I think we should pretty much kill them too.

I’m thinking Texas gets out to a 35-7 halftime lead. Quinn gets one series in the second half. Arch comes in and puts another 14-21 on the board. Brett yormark thought he escaped the 5.0 . Not so fast my friend

They rival any of the mouth breathers at A&M. I wonder if it’s just little brother syndrome. I lived in az for 2 years and Tempe is very talented. It’s just in and around the stands.

Extremely

No home town hero stuff in this one, Texas is focused and puts a beat down on the Sun Devils. 30-40 points victory.

Forgot to put, if you could run it down Clemsons throat, you can most definitely run it down Arizona States throat. Run the ball and make them stop it. Don't get cute, stay on top of them and this is an easy first half blow out (imo). They don't have anywhere near the weapons that Clemson does or other teams we've faced this year. The Big 12 is pretty weak. As I said, no home town hero stuff in this one (Klubnik) and Texas is way too talented across the board to lose this, with great coaching on top.

I want to see us stay aggressive in the 2nd half this week though. We tend to take our foot off teams throats in the 2nd half for some reason.

I'll go 38-13. I just don't trust that offensive line to match up against the Texas D-Line, and vice versa. They don't have a QB like Klubnik either, so I don't expect a close game.

I’m just grateful for the part of Arizona that gave us Bijan Robinson

Agree with this.

The only thing this team really lacks is a killer instinct.

Texas is going to stomp a mudhole

How good is he... like, Texas would be interested if he were to hypothetically jump in the portal good?

That would be Tuscon.  His teammate Lathan Ransom is the starting Safety at anOSU.

Probably too small for Texas ... but he's a quality player for sure.

Texas wouldn't take Byron Murphy out of DeSoto right now ... which is kind of a whack way of thinking in terms of "must have SEC size" IMO.

Nor would Texas take Poona Ford now   Some serious wack in body type stereotyping.  Byron's coveted 5 teammate Shemar Stewart just completed his eligibility at aTm this year.

Sometimes the consolation prize is better than the Grand Prize.

Have they announced who is calling the game?

Announcers are Joe Tessitore and Jesse Palmer.

Referee is Larry Smith and his Big Ten crew.

This feels about right. I watched them against KSU and was NOT impressed. KSU threw up all over themselves and turned it over in their own territory on the first 2-3 possessions, allowing ASU to go up 21-0 in the first. But then KSU outscored them 14-3 the rest of the way. Leavitt is a nice player and he can scramble a bit, but he makes freshman mistakes and is not even close to Klubnik. The ASU o-line is awful. KSU was in the backfield constantly and held Skattebo to 2.9 YPC. KSU also ran on them at will. ASU is not as good as A&M. In fact, A&M would probably beat them by 10. As long as we don’t beat ourselves, this game isn’t close.
