Attending my first game this Saturday! Driving from Louisiana tomorrow night. Life long Texas fan! What are some good spots to hit before the game? What’s the best time to get there and what time does everything start happening? Thanks guys! @Gerry HamiltonWhere will the tailgate be located? 

For the first game, I would start at Scholz on the south side of the stadium. They always have pre-game stuff going on.

Scholz Garten

From Scholz, you walk through a ton of tailgating on your way to the stadium, then walk through Bevo Blvd and east up to the LBJ Library for the pre-game concert (OTF's tailgate is usually up there).

This will give you a sense of the old-school (Scholz and southside tailgates) and new-school (Bevo Blvd) pre-game scene.  

Go grab a burger at Dirty Martin's after the game (or maybe Crown & Anchor).

Typically tailgates will be going by 10am. Bevo comes in the south entrance at 11:45.
