Two portal RB's ...

There have been questions if the Longhorns would have interest in a running back out of the portal.

OnTexasFootball can say that both USC (Manor High) transfer Quentin Joyner and Alabama transfer Justice Haynes have been in contact with Texas per a solid source. That doesn't mean that Texas is for sure pushing for a RB out of the portal, but Tashard Choice and Steve Sarkisian are at least entertaining the idea.

Ohio State and Oregon are among those interested in both, as well. Joyner has visited Ohio State. Haynes also has Ole Miss, South Carolina and Michigan on the list. Ole Miss and South Carolina will receive visits this week.

GH, is Joyner or Haynes the bigger between the tackles RB, which is the better fit for the Texas RB room?

These are the two I want!  Both would upgrade the running back room!  I’d be happy with either!

Has joyner put on any weight since HS?

Listed at 215lbs so yes.

I personally like that kid from ULM that we played against this year. But I can understand them doing so here, lots of ?'s about that room. Will Blue stay or go? Will Baxter be back 100% and same with Clark (I think it was). Wisner has been good, but also limited himself and Gibson doesn't seem to be getting much leeway these days.

Not sure we want to be relying on Fr, regardless of how talented. I think if Baxter hadn't got hurt, we would be fine. But there has been a noticeable drop off since Brooks left and Baxter was injured.

If we don’t lose anyone (TBD), we would bring back Blue, Wisner, Gibson, Clark, Baxter Jr, plus bring in two freshman. And that’s not including Page/walk one. How many roster spots will truly be allotted to RBs? 8 seems high…

I saw in the transfer portal thread, that someone mentioned Bobby and Gerry saying that both Singleton and Hunter could be tonight or tomorrow. Guess we'll see. Both would be huge additions. Though I think Ole Miss is throwing everything, including the kitchen sink at Singleton.
