Texas DL Vernon Broughton has been named the SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week for week 14.

Broughton was superb against Texas A&M, finishing with two sacks and a fumble recovery to seal the deal on the road.

Broughton becomes the fourth Longhorn to receive the Defensive Player of the Week honor from the SEC this season, joining Jahdae Barron (Week 12), Michael Taaffe (Week 9), and Anthony Hill Jr. (Week 7 and 13).

Either way, he's going to be in a position to afford it after the season he has had. Money has been made this season.

They say married life changes a man. That ain’t Vernon out there. That is Mr. Broughton. From now on refer to him as sir in the interviews.
