Going out to call coyotes with the 6.5 Creedmoor before dawn. Whelping time and they're going nuts out there. Gonna take my border collie Gael as a decoy. She was in heat last week. Be sniffin like crazy.

    Got one, which was actually a young female. They were all around me, howling and barking. Wind shifted from NW to ESE after I set up, which wasn't good.

    Nailed two mature male coyotes this morning. Didn't use Gael as decoy. I just called and called and four came in. Picked out the two biggest to shoot at.
