Gary Patterson Joins Baylor Staff

Former Texas analyst and TCU head coach Gary Patterson has found a new home in the state of Texas — Waco.

Patterson has been hired by Baylor HC Dave Aranda to join the program as a senior level consultant.

Quite the conundrum for both fan bases  as both have a long history rooting for and against Patterson in the TCU-Baylor rivalry.

TCU fans cannot be happy to see this news on a Wednesday morning.

Fortunately for them, it's Thursday 😉

As he was for Texas, that’s a great addition for Aranda and Baylor.

But a real come down for Patterson.  Is he the coach in waiting?  Baylor?  Really?  🤷‍♂️

The Revenge Tour continues.  I doubt GP is a head coach in-waiting at Baylor.  It's a much easier commute to Fort Worth (which the Pattersons truly love) from Waco than Austin.  Just watch the fur fly if SMU opens up, though.  That would be the ultimate middle finger to TCU and he might be able to get the old band back together.

He can be the interim when they le Aranda go mid season.

Not sure about that because he still has to be out of coaching another year for the HOF iirc.
