Back to back middle kills (Ames, Singletary) follwed by Singletary solo block has TExasa up 2.  make that 3 after another block.  12-9

Texas wins the point after consecutive overpasses by our backline, but each putback by UK deflected and saved or blocked.  Then UK overpassed and Singletary stuffed it.  Then UK hit long.  Starting to open this set up.  15-10.  UK timeout. 

Skinner with a kill to put Texas up 22-19.  UK tried to dink from the back row. 

UK challenged on the long hit mentioned above.  Won the challenge to make it 14-11 at that point.

Wenaas getting blocked this set.  UK with 5 service errors and hitting .161so far.

 

 

Another back row dink fails for UK.  Then Halter serves into the net.  23-20. 

UK does the same.  24-20. 

Middle kill by UK to corner.  24-21. 

UK dink blocked.  Texas 25-21.

Texas takes 1st set 25-21

Nice first set win. 

Opposite side kill by Rutherford.  1-0.  Swindle setting. 

Great save by Wenaas from a deflection at the net.  Skinner kill.  Skinner with back to back, the second from a Halter bump set.  3-0.

Halter with a great dig on a crosscourt shot.  Rutherford kill.  4-2. 

UK middle kill.  4-3.

UK serve off net and still goes out.  5-3.

Singletary/Kahahawai block.  6-3.

Wenaas/Singletary block.  7-3. 

Wenaas set too close and blocked trying to go past mb with 5 inches on her.  7-4.

Wenaas solo block on setter tryiing to dump it over.  9-4.  Timeout UK

Wenaas blocked, but Texas saved it, set her again, this time off block out of bounds.  10-5.

HUGE kill by Rutherford after Halter dug UK serve off the floor.  11-6.

Rutherford blocked.  11-7.  Skinner hit long.  11-8. 

UK serve error.  12-8.

SKinner, Singletary, and Rutherford on front row and Halter serves long.  Boo. 12-9.

Rutherford crushed another one.  13-9.

 

HUGE blast by Singletary in the middle.  14-10.

Kahahawai with her 5th kill.  16-12.  Long rally ends with UK hitting long.  17-12.

UK hit into the pole.  18-12. 

Wenaas off-speed deflected but fell in.  Then Rutherford killed another one.  20-13. 

Rutherford again.  21-13.  Leads with 7 kills and  .600 hitting

Ames/Skinner block.  22-13.

UK kill off block.  Ames middle kill dug into the stands.  23-14.
