Does anyone think that if Georgia beats Alabama, they bump Texas in the number one spot?

I think that if Georgia wins decisively, it's a real possibility. All we can do is take care of business tomorrow. The greater the point difference, the better. 

Doesn't matter. We play them 10/19 and then may have to get through them again in the playoff. Just win and take it one week at a time. Season isn't decided with September or October AP Polls. 

I wouldn't worry about rankings at this point. If we truly are the best team in the nation, we'll show it throughout the season. 

Also, I would rather have Georgia beat Bama so that if we beat Georgia, we are undisputed number 1. 

If either team wins that game convincingly, I bet the winner jumps to no. 1. They have to do it convincingly though. 

We absolutely want Georgia to beat Bama 

I would prefer Georgia to win so there could potentially be a 1 vs 2 matchup at DKR, first time in a regular season since the Game of the Century (Bama vs LSU in 2011).

The rules have changed this year.  It's less of a popularity contest where ESPN decides who is the "best team".  Now it's all about the playoffs.  Gotta win it on the field.  Kindof takes all the politics and voters with an agenda out of it.

It doesn’t matter. As long as Texas takes care of business they’ll be #1 when it matters.

I dont overly care. If texas handles their business, it doesn't matter what number is next to their name until January.

I’m hoping they win! Not too bothered about the top spot but I want us both to be undefeated, #1 vs #2 on October 19. If they come in with a loss already at #8 in the country then it loses just a little juice imo.

Polls matter in late September? 

You know what I want?  I want to beat UGa in DKR.  I want to beat UGa in Atlanta in the SEC Championship Game.  I want to make it a three-peat in the playoffs.

Who cares whether UGa is 1 or 2 when we play in Austin?
