Bo Barnes, concern for Oregon flip?

Featured Replies

It’s being reported on all the major sites Bo Barnes took a game day visit with family to Oregon yesterday. Are we are on flip watch? I really thought this kid was solid to Texas…

Not according to the mods at TOS, but you never know.Β

Even if there was a concern.. all he saw was Oregon struggle against Idaho πŸ˜‚

He surely picked a good game no doubt!

If he schedules an OV, yes. Right now, not a high probability ... per a source very close.

Justin Wells in an On3 video said that Samples was telling Barnes that UT would miss use him and he would be wasting his talent with the Longhorns.Β

It would be nice if we immediately got one of their highly rated commits back on campus. Also, don’t understand the infatuation with Oregon from all of these Texas kids in recent classes.

@Gerry HamiltonΒ do programs have above board Β ways to pay for unofficial visits now? Β

They should try to not struggle with Idaho before they talk like that.Β

So did he inform the staff or not? If he did then no problem. If he didn't then I expect the same outrage that DAntreΒ  Robinson got when he didn't inform UT before a visit he took after being committed . Same situation if so, needs same response period.

Per Gerry, Barnes and his dad did not inform the Texas staff. Β That makes it look like they took the Duck money and tried to sneak up there but got caught. Β That may not have been what happened, but that’s what it looks like.

Speaking of Oregon, I'm thinking the "Gabriel for Heisman" odds took a hit. He had some yards, but he hardly looked like an elite QB.

Starting to think Samples is a bigger charlatan than Deion. The bright side is that at least you know that kids willing to fall for this stuff probably aren't likely to have what it takes in the long run. It's a shame in this case because Barnes seemed like an honest and forthright kid. Even if it's just a money deal for a visit, it's still a red flag.Β
