Sitting here rewatching the bama game for the first time since saban retired and just got to thinking… where would that win rank all time in Texas history? I’m only 26 so it’s definitely in my top 5 for sure so I know the older cats in here may not agree but just thinking of the circumstances surrounding it especially now with saban being retired, Texas and Steve sarkisian are the only ones who can say they was the last team to ever defeat nick saban in Bryant Denny stadium 

Well, I'm 40 years older than you are and I think this still makes my top five. I really enjoyed this game and I really was happy that we were able to beat them in Tuscaloosa.

Notre Dame home game was an amazing game but given the team cratered after that, the bloom fell off the rose there.

I'd also add the '04 Rose Bowl - felt similar to the Bama game IMO, signaling that we were "over the hump" and great things were on the horizon. 

Breaking Nebraska's home winning streak as a huge underdog....it provided the fuel for a power shift in the new big12 conference.  I was at the game and will never forget how shocked their fans were after the game....you could tell that they knew it was over.

Edit: I might add in Arizona State/Texas Holiday Bowl 2007 as No. 8. The “RUDY! RUDY! RUDY!” Game. It set 2008-2009 in motion and the Sun Devils talked a lot of smack before hand. Texas was nails and the next two years were A LOT of fun.

I’d probably follow up Missouri/Texas 2008 as No. 9 as well. Fresh off the win against No. 1 OU, Texas dominated Missouri and Colt McCoy played like an absolute animal. That place was rocking too and I didn’t have a voice for days!

And to round out my Top 10, the Sugar Bowl win over Georgia.
