Been a Longhorn fan from Arkansas (with 2 parents who graduated from U of A) as soon as I first saw Earl Campbell run the ball.  Best thing about this past season, I got to enjoy a great season with my son for the first time.  We can’t wait for the next few seasons and we return to the top of the mountain.  Keep up the good work guys, I look forward to it every morning!!  Hook em’

Very underrated thought here IMO. A lot of people got to experience the same thing with their kids for the first time; that's how things get passed down through the generations and part of what is special about Texas football.

I live in Arkansas as well but I am a transplant. Born in Texas and lived there 50 years.

I’ve lived in Arkansas my whole life and it was hard to root for the Burnt Orange in the late SWC days with my whole family being Arkansas fans.  Then, in 2004, Vince Young convinced my nephew to jump on board and he’s now a lifer, finally, my son went from being a fan to be a lifer bc of this group.  The Texas family is growing in Central Arkansas!!  I’ve taken a lot of crap from buddies the past 20 years, it’s about to change and I can’t wait 🙂

Glad to have you cheering for the Burnt Orange. I admit it has been hard to do before Sark arrived. Been a long dry spell of the winning tradition. I am some what of a fair weathered fan when it comes to Cowboys ( whole different conversation) but cheered for the horns through the good and bad.

I’m the same way, Dallas won’t ever get the Head Coach/QB combo and I refuse to keep getting my heart broken.  With Texas, recruiting has been the issue ever since Mack got complacent.  Sark is current, genuine, works his ass off, is extremely hungry and is a heck of a football coach.  It’s ridiculous that Texas hasn’t had a top pick in so long before Bijon.  It won’t happen again under Sark.
