Tennessee Vols Season Ending Injury in Training Camp

Hate to see injuries like this in training camp.  Southern Cal’s starting center had a season ending injury a few days ago.  Every day that Texas does not have an injury report like this is a win for me, regardless of position battles, good plays, bad plays, etc.

    Couldn't agree more. Knocking on wood every day.

    yea hate this for any kid you only get to play for so long so missing any season is gut wrenching.

    USC lost their starting center earlier this week as well

    The OL is also one of their main strengths and I’m sure they can’t afford to lose many other starters.

    So, do you think the non contact knee injuries like this are previous undiagnosed years that created weak areas and then just the right stress pops them clean? It's crazy how often this and tendon years happen in non contact drills. Didn't we have a TE back in Mack's early years that missed two years due to camp injuries?

    Blaine Irby was originally hurt in a game against Rice.  The injury was bad enough that Mack Brown tried to convince Blaine to stop playing football….it took Blaine multiple years to be able to get back onto the field in games.
