Was told by a source on Monday that Texas is still actively recruiting Ohio State DE commit DJ Jacobs. 

Curious to see if efforts ramp up with Jacobs after Fakatou (also a big DE/EDGE target) committed to OSU today. 

Jacobs did not take an official visit to Austin this summer, so it's possible he could take an in-season look at Texas. 

He was last on campus for the Texas-Texas A&M game in November.

Yeah I was about to ask @Hank South if the DJ ship had sailed since they never been able to get him back on campus yet id definitely trade Jacobs for Fakatou if we could 🙂

We’ll see because we seem to have a hard time flipping guys from ohio state for some reason.

They have had the track record for WRs and DL/Secondary/Lbkr that most can’t rival in last decade.

When WR coach left it was big help for us in WR recruiting.  But L Johnson is just hard to beat as a recruiter and skins on the wall.  Once he’s gone that will change.
