If the team could only afford 2 out of Jackson, Sherrard and James, the staff made the right choices.  It's too bad, as James is a good player, but they can't pay everyone top dollar as Sark has said previously. 

Once again, another early commit winds up decommitting.  Most of the decommits during the Sark era have been early commits.

Poetic that a Kid named Greedy is leaving us for more money.

The Opening going on at Nike Headquarters for the next few days. Where 120 elite athletes come together. Saw where Team Southwest has Greedy James , Royal and Meredith on their team. Also a few LSU commits as well. Should be some fun huh lol .

I actually like the way we are managing our NIL dollars like a money fund.  Too many schools (like sandaggy) throw a chunk of change at a player, attempting to not only snatch up what they think is a winner, but  skewing the market for the rest of us.  

is the NIL for 2027 recruits separate from the funds they'll need to retain guys for next year? Or is it all one big pool and they just budget it accordingly. 

Either way, wish the young buck all the best if he does de-commit and hope wee can land some of our other targets.

He also spent time talking with John Meredith who is probably slotted the same as Royal. I’d read into that one more since he wasn’t even there as opposed to the guy who isn’t in the same tier and happened to be there. Took more effort to get with JMIII then “Greedy” in that instance. We probably should’ve seen the writing on the wall with that nickname when it came to slotting if they really wanted him in this class.
