I am surprised by the teams that didn't make the cut: Italy,  Costa Rica, Chile, India, and China. I bet the Italians are seething they choked in the playoffs.

It's not possible lol. Not with the way the bracket is set up.

All of the Europeans have quieted down for the most part since they're realizing how incredible this World Cup has been and will be.... But I can't stop laughing at them complaining about what time the games are for them. During the Tokyo Olympics, I was up at 3 AM watching Water Polo and averaged like 3 hours of sleep. They just don't want it bad enough

I did not know how much I needed this FIFA World Cup. Been incredibly entertaining. And reading and watching all the interactions and travels of people from other countries visiting America has been heartwarming, funny, and good for my soul. And I remember the 1994 FIFA World Cup...and it was not anywhere near as entertaining as 2026 has been thus far.

That is extremely valid, though the olympics doesn't garner the same atmosphere that the world cup does imo.

Man, this World Cup has been hitting like emotional therapy with better snacks(when the USA plays). I didn’t realize how much I needed to watch international fans discover Buc‑ee’s, freak out over portion sizes, and treat Dr Pepper like it’s some kind of controlled substance.

And look - I’m not even a “watch every match” guy. Honestly, I don’t watch the World Cup until it’s down to like four teams… unless the USA is playing, then I suddenly become a tactical genius who yells at the TV like Berhalter owes me money.

I want to see how Aregentina does tonight.
