He wasn't included on the postseason roster and didn't play this season. Typically, the staff is OK letting guys in that boat get a head start if they're looking to go elsewhere.

The problem with baseball portal recruiting is very few are in the know. Most throw crap at the wall and hope it sticks (see: Samford INF visiting, Watters being all Ga Tech).  The best part of b

There have only been nine guys in the history of the Texas program who’ve hit 19 or more home runs in a season. It’s a pretty significant number.

I wonder why a guy like that would enter the portal being that he’s going to be a first rounder

Keep options available if the signing bonus doesn't meet what he's looking for is my best bet,

The rib stress fracture did ding Cameron Flukey’s draft stock slightly, sliding him from a projected top-10 lock into the late-first or early-second round conversation

He will get plenty of attention in the portal if he opts to return to school.

Id just assume he follows Schnall to SCAR if he does opt for that route until otherwise

He entered the transfer portal with a Do Not Contact tag.  Kevin Schnall departed Coastal Carolina to become the head coach at South Carolina.  Several Coastal players have already transferred to join Schnall.  If Flukey bypasses the MLB Draft, he would likely to follow Schnall to South Carolina

Roster obviously matters.   Being hot down the stretch usually matters the most.  Magic in a bottle

Welp uga will be better we have not done enough I hope that changes.

Georgia is losing 129 home runs, 391 RBI's, all 3 weekend starters, their closer and their top 2 setup guys.

You have no idea whether they will be better or not. They are basically replacing their entire team.

okay we also dont know how good texas will be but its losing a starter on the mound and the two best hitters it had. The objective is to be better than last year and dont see that for Texas rn with what we have added. The Indiana transfer they just got is really good and repairing much better than texas in the portal. its okay to admit texas is not doing great and not be homers.

Your portal freakout schtick in every sport is tiring. Especially when it isn't even over and the draft hasn't even taken place.

Georgia is replacing almost their entire team. Texas is not. I would sure hope a team replacing 8 starters and their entire weekend rotation is being more active than the team that isn't.

"It's okay to admit Texas is not doing great". They have 3 of the top 50 players in the country committed. You seem to have this vision that we would just bring in 7 elite portal players to play with Pack and Rodriguez, and that is not how this works.

Well glad basketball and football are doing it if baseball isn’t. The level of talent in our lineup was clearly worse than other Omaha teams and we didn’t replace tinney and Robbins 😂.
