Question about tickets

Featured Replies

Hi yall! For tickets to games like Ohio State, when is the best time to purchase the tickets? I’m scared if I wait until the day before there will be none left for resale. If anyone has any tricks please let me know!

thank you!

Not only day of… an hour before

Agree, it’s harder now that there aren’t actual physical tickers, but if you’re at a decent tailgate I’ve always had good luck getting tickets off people. You’re also going to have to purchase tickets mainly through stun hub or something similar. The prices go way down right after kickoff and with all the TV there you wouldn’t miss much of the actual game. Just know that it’s not going to be cheap. I sold my extra Bama ticket in 2022 in the first quarter for 175 (face of 65).

I would think this is the lowest they're going to be. There will always be some left on the secondary markets day of but they're going to jack the prices up big time. The 2024 Texas/UGA game was nuts. Even after kickoff some of the upper deck get-in price was still $600+.

I already have my AirBNB booked, I'm coming with or without tickets.

My plan right now is that I have a couple season ticket holders put in for the lottery through Ohio State for me. Tickets would be face value ($280 a ticket).

If neither of those are selected in the lottery (I think I should be fine), then my plan is monitor the prices and by the day before the game on TickPick.

If you are located anywhere near Austin, I would join Texas ticket exchange groups on Facebook. Buy off of there, but meet up in person to make the exchange.

You don’t think they will completely sold out ?

I will say, I had buddies who did this for the Notre Dame @ Ohio State game in 2023. I was amazed when there were no tickets to be found. There were no listings on TM/SH anything from about 3pm on...game was at 7:30

Sounds like I’ll be purchasing tickets in the next 2 months haha

I have found that the sweet spot is Thursday night-Friday night before the game. That’s just one man’s anecdotal evidence though.

You are 100% correct...Those that saying "the day of" have no idea what they are talking about. Right now is the time to buy.

No idea what I’m talking about? Except I’ve done it with every sporting event or concert I’ve ever gone to and didn’t have tickets. Including UT football.

I'm heading down for the Ohio State game as well. I've been following ticket prices for 3 months on secondary markets like tickpick/stubhub etc. Nothing has changed much....looks like im paying 1600 minimum for a pair.

Day of will be your best bet. Always tickets available.  And sellers get desperate and drop prices.

watch craigslist...sometimes you can get great buys out there from those that can't attend the game.

have been following Stubhub....these prices have been going up - not down

Buying day of game may hurt those looking for tics this year. Wouldn't take the risk

Always’ is a nice slogan, but not reality. Day‑of crashes happen when demand softens. For a top‑tier game like Ohio State, prices can just as easily spike. I’ve been on both sides of this equation - I couldn’t get tickets day‑of for the Texas–LSU 2019 game - so the idea that day‑of is always the best is just not how resale markets work. Not saying you’re wrong, just that it isn’t a guarantee for every matchup

@MBHORNSFAN - Haha all good - wasn’t disagreeing with you, just saying there are exceptions. Big games get weird. Really like your posts.

I just bought season tickets on stubhub for $2200/per including fees. Section 8. You can buy a parking pass there if you need to.

I’ve been watching ticket prices for a while and they are not coming off much. My daughter and son in law are flying in from NYC and I promised them good tickets since they’ve never been to a game at DKR. Ideally, I want section 4 or 5 lower west side but insane prices. I went to Vandy last year and UGA and Clemson in ‘24 and sat in those sections and these prices are significantly more. Trying to wait it out but not wanting to disappoint. Any advice…..willing to eat corn dog and mayo for ticket?

Found 2 tix in section 103 row 30 for $590 each for ohio st game.

Anyone have anything better they can offer me?  =P

Will likely have 4 tickets available to sell to the Arky game. And 4 to the Florida game. TBD. Section 30, about 20 yard line. Seatbacks. Parking pass.

Hit me up for the Florida game! Would be interested!
