I've been handling other OTF business for the first bit of this game.

Texas has a 2-0 lead in the top of the second. A Carson Tinney and Aiden Robbins reaching base on a dropped third strike put two on for Anthony Pack, who delivered with a one-out double to left.

Ashton Larson led off the top of the second with a walk. He's on first with one out after a Gumbo strikeout.

 

Livingston grounded into a 4-6-3 double play to end the inning.

That's four outs on seven pitches for Dylan Volantis to open the game.

Borba’s just such a good player. Unreal at 1st and 3rd. We’re lucky to have him.

Craddock and Parker made Volantis work, but a strikeout and a flyout account for the eighth and ninth consecutive Gamecocks retired by the Texas starter.

Pack and Becerra are the only two bats who haven't struck out two times through the order.

Amp Phillips has struck out eight through four.

Another 1-2-3 inning for Volantis in the fourth.

I think the umpire's strike zone goes down to about 2 inches above the batter's ankles, though.
