Is it just me or is are base running sometimes dumb af lol. We give up so may easy double plays by starting the runners and getting caught in a chase down lol.

Are they supposed to just not take free stolen bases?

That one didn’t work out but 9 times out of 10 it will.

It may feel like an over exaggeration but I’m pretty sure these “free” stolen bases have cost us 2-3 out alone in this series. I’m not for giving people free outs or free bases hence blowing a 7-3 lead.

This Blue has had a tight strike zone all weekend.

At least it’s consistent

I wouldn’t even say that, half the time the zone has been where it crosses, the other half is where it ends. This has been exceptionally bad.

Yeah but Schloss has always had an aggressive offense that applies pressure on the base paths.  Sometimes if you can speed up the defense they will start making fielding mistakes.  When he coached at TCU he was the only coach that scared me and gave Augie Garrido fits.

Hitting a ball over 100 MPH off the bat while Carson Tinney is standing on third base cuz he got such a good job isn’t a free out, it’s just bad luck.

A free out would be sac bunting with 1 out and a man on first or something dumb.

It was a hit and run that was squared up to center. If that ball finds grass or a gap it's2 runs or 1st and 3rd no outs. Unfortunately it was hit right at the centerfielder. I guess you can play safe and go station to station and hope you can put enough hits together. Arod could've just as easily hit into a double play without the steal.
