SEC/Big 10 vs Cody Campbell

Featured Replies

No matter how much money Cody Campbell has, if the SEC and Big 10 don’t go along and decide to make their own way, he will hit a brick wall.

The SEC and B1G share a lot of blame here. If they took the reins and led the establishment of a new college football or even college athletics framework, then they wouldn’t be in a situation where they’re reacting to Campbell.

I wonder what their theory is here??

Are they each just power hungry for their domains or is there not money left on the table negotiating separately??

Need a well consulted OTF article on this topic.  Unification of B1G and SEC makes more sense to me.  They would get the filets of the funds and everyone else will be scrapping for pig knuckles.

DOG!!!  I agree with you... Dangerous indeed.

I saw where President Trump has invited several CFB luminaries, led by Nick Saban, to the White House to discuss the future of College Sports and NIL. Unfortunately, neither Dog nor Bobby Burton were on the list of invitees.

Hook 'Em! And take cover when the President and Congress get involved with college football.

Unfortunately, you can't have a real discussion about this issue without discussing the forbidden politics.

Big Cody has already headed the SEC and Big18 off at the pass, mid-terms might decide the rest.

Joint negotiation of media rights in and of itself isn’t a bad idea. It’s already happening inside the B10 and SEC obviously. However, schools like Texas, Ohio St, et al can only support so many poors and there’s already plenty inside both those conferences.

Yah right he wants us to believe someone that pays tf out of players to come to his program has the best interest in the sport lol?

That is the wrong group of people to be discussing this. The issue is what holds up in court. You can put in all the safe guards you want, but the minute you say no, the athlete goes to court, and if he wins it all means nothing.
