A couple of folks have sent me DMs about political ads on our videos and/or podcasts.

On Texas Football has and always will be a place DEVOID of politics. Our purpose here is to be an escape for Longhorns fans to go as deep as they want to about the Longhorns and not politics, etc.

That being said, YouTube and others sell political ads all the time. They have to do it equally among all political parties; it’s the law to do so.

So pls be aware that you may see various political ads just like you do on your TV set during election season. But that is NOT from us or even us taking direct money from any political party. It is YouTube or the programmatic partner.

Here’s to keeping politics out of Texas football!

    I see those ads as well Bobby, but once I switched to premium YouTube (No commercials or ads) they went away--

    Bunch of softies on the board apparently.   Suck it up buttercup.  If an ad comes on you don’t like just think of a happy place until it’s gone.  No need to complain to Bobby.   For Christ’s sake we wonder why our kids are candy azzez

    Same here. I resisted for a long time, but I finally got worn down by the placement and frequency of ads on YouTube. Not just on OTF, but on everything YouTube.

    While saving $ after retirement, YouTube Premium is about the only optional item I spring for. I hate to say that I am glad I went Premium because I feel like they whipped me, but whatever...

    Thanks to Bobby and crew, I really enjoy all the OTF content without intrusive interruptions.

    I refuse to go to YT premium.  They bombard the videos with commercials to the point where the commercials are longer than the videos.  Not the way to treat your prospective customers.  

    But, Bobby...it IS a problem.  Sometimes an ad will start within seconds of the start of the video.

    I totally understand. I'm not proud of admitting that YT wore me down.

    I get more value out of YouTube premium than any TV streaming service I have. I listen to a ton of podcast type of content on YouTube. No commercials is very worth it.

    Use a VPN & choose a location like Singapore. Those pesky political ads disappear.

    Well he can’t do anything to really control that unfortunately, even if it is a problem it’s the apps control not his.

    Of course not.  I was just commenting on YT execs pissing off their prospective clients.  Seems a bit counter productive to me.
