I charted every player who has worn a single digit number on the offensive side of the football for the Texas Longhorns since 2000. 

Light green - draft pick
Green - top 3 round pick
Dark green - 1st round pick
Gold - award winner 

Devin Duvernay was the only player to wear No. 6 to get Drafted.

Collin Johnson was the only player to wear No. 9 to get Draft.

That 2010-2015 stretch was brutal man.

Yeah. That is a massive hole.  A quick google search shows only 2 offensive players drafted at all during that time.  Marquise Goodwin and Geoff Swaim. Goodwin was awesome but he went "old school" with #84.  But 2 offensive draft picks over 5 years is rough. 

are all of the single digit numbers on the roster this year already solidified?

It's certainly "Riddling" how a couple of coaches could oversee that kind of ineptitude.

Agree! At least with Mack you had some flashes but Charlie was just pure trainwreck. The biggest misstep Mack made imo was try to change the offense in 2010 to a power running game with a QB that specialized in spread/RPO like Gilbert did at LT.  Le Sigh, darkest time is right before the dawn right?!

It did, Mack didn’t do himself favors at the end for sure. Steve Patterson was the conductor of that whole trainwreck IMO.

Mack panic after losing to Bama, completely changed the offense that didn’t fit the personnel. After the disaster of 2010 he fired his offensive staff that changed the offense per his request didn’t hold himself accountable. Mack should have been fired for coaching malpractice in 2010. Gutless DoLo$$ didn’t want loose his cash cow coach.

I've called those years as the "Decade of Doom," because it certainly felt like a Decade.

I began following the Longhorns in 1968, and the "Decade of Doom" was the only period of time when I got depressed and almost gave up hope.

I was disappointed when the Horns lost to the Washington Huskies because they felt so close to winning it all, but Texas ran into the hottest opposing QB I've ever seen. I'm happy with the program under Steve Sarkisian because I remember '10-'15 so vividly.
