2028 Klein Oak RB Micah Rhodes dropped a top three Thursday afternoon of Texas, Oklahoma and Texas A&M.

Rhodes is currently ranked as the 40th ranked prospect in the country for the class of 2028 and the No. 3 RB in the country Per the 247Sports Composite. 

According to a few conversations this afternoon, Oklahoma is the school to beat the moment. A decision is likely to come soon as well.

 

 

Oof! BTA incoming for him in the cotton bowl. Until proven otherwise coach sark has venables number. Who’s texas prioritizing at running back or is it too early to tell who coach juluke prefers? 

Anybody dumb enough to want to go play for Demarco Murray and his worthless track record truly deserves OU. 

Can't get too wound up over a recruit that won't sign anywhere until December 2027.  A little under two years away.  Who knows who the head coaches or assistant coaches will be by then as well?

Grandfather played at UT if I’m not mistaken.  If there is one criticism of this staff it’s we get so far behind on underclassman.  It will be interesting to see if we can make up on some of the 2027 guys already committed to schools like A&M and Tech.  I think these schools know to come out hard when the players are young because Texas isn’t very aggressive until the spring of their recruits JR year.  

Just show him the Golden Hat and he’ll know what school to choose 🤘🏼

We do this every year with Sark and question him when there isnt early success and then he knocks it out the park.  

I can’t think that far in advance

Will be interesting to see if it still works with tech and aggy both in playoffs this year and both have a lot of  NIL backing.  Tech and Aggie early commits include top 20 instate guys we met with this week and are trying to get visits from Brewster (dl), Redmond (dl), DeMarrion Johnson (OT), Snell (S). Others that we’ve offered and committed to OU, A&M and Tech include: Keldrid Ben (rb), Benny Easter (wr), Kaden McCarty (edge).  I know Sark likes to play the long game and continue with evals.  We’ll see if it works this year.

If you tell me you're choosing OU over Texas right now.. as a running back, I don't want you. Not because you chose them, even though that's disgusting, it tells me the job's either too big for you, or you aren't built to compete and carry the heavy legacy of being part of what America has known to be the place where the best run the ball.
