Latest on Ole Miss LB/EDGE transfer Princewill Umanmielen

OnTexasFootball can report there is definite interest in the former Manor High star.

Like anything else in the portal, it will come down the NIL demands/ask and if it is a fit. 

Umanmielen posted 45 tackles and 9 sacks in 2025 for the Rebels. 

Would be a great addition and would think he would want to come home for a Natty run 

Maybe he could play volleyball with The Elk? 😄

Would love to see him come our way, so we'll need to pay up.

No. Texas recruited him hard out of high school, but he chose Florida instead. Then transferred to ole Miss a couple seasons ago.  Really good player.  I was disappointed when he chose Florida over us initially.  Would be pretty sweet to have him finish here.

It's not my money so Im all for bringing in everybody that can help. My question would be is this a luxury pickup and not so much a need. For instance if you put up the money for another pass rusher and it took away from paying an O lineman that I would think is more of a need is that still a net positive? Sure if you keep the other team from scoring it means our O doesn't need to score as much but I want a run game and to keep Arch upright next season. Maybe I foolishly have faith in the defensive pieces we have.

Florida or Nebraska…. I had to Wiki it and it said Nebraska 

I thought academics were an issue with him first time around??

This discussion is about Princewill. His older brother is Princely. Both are different from Prince Dorbah who transferred out of Texas. 

Very good pash rusher but also a pretty decent run stopper/edge setter. Would rather pay for him than Damion Wilson(don’t really want him).
