I disagree. There remains value.

Goosby’s of the world are the prime example of coming in and developing into a starter-ready guy

True, Goosby's of the world are the prime example of developing. But if he was a member of the 2025 class, for example, does Texas retain him? or do they cut him loose to open up funds for ready-now players?

The concern is what 2027 looks like. But that’s a full portal cycle and year of development away. So not even worth worrying over.

Texas will continue to recruit the Kelvin Banks’ of the HS world.

Good take, CJ.  The landscape has changed immensely.  IMHO, it's lazy to blame Flood for the loss of Brooks (he can be blamed for other things).  The likelihood he has been recruited behind the scenes

We’ll have enough bodies. There’s 100s of available ol in the portal. We’ll add 3 that are at least serviceable in a worse scenario. There’s still a little prime meat on the portal bone that we’re chasing. Hell, get Seaton level and we’re sitting good. 2 very strong tackles helps a ton. We also have the upcoming grad transfer pool. We’ll be fine but we’re trying to be great.

They just took Kaden Scherer. Who is very similarly in body type and on-field projections.
