I actually think it speaks to bad evaluations more than anything. Flood’s strategy of recruiting mammoths who can’t move well hasn’t really paid off. Also could speak to poor development. But either way, not one of the departing OL was in any way ready to make a contribution this year and there’s no indication that they’d be any good thereafter. Again, it’s an indictment of Flood’s evaluation and development as much as as anything. That being said, getting dudes to hit on the OL has always been a crapshoot and takes years.

Agree, but maybe that is all that we could get, and something is better than nothing?  Dunno.....

This point I think he's trying to set the record for the most schools transferred in a career and plans for no one to ever break it in the future 😆

I'm willing to give the staff the benefit of the doubt, but man they are getting whipped on the OL recruiting. On the flip side, none of these kids want to get developed. It's part of the instant gratification crowd. I need to start now or I'm wasting time.

I have a feeling things are going to change soon with this. This current model is not sustainable.

Spot on.

Here's the thing - when the dust settles there will be a TON of college athletes without a 'job'.  Realization will hit them like a brick wall.  Some will find their way back into the folds of teams, especially if those teams are in need of players for that position that want to be coached (nod nod, wink)and others will be casualties to a system gone haywire.

Remember this in three weeks. I don’t think you’ll say the same thing about the OL. We’ll see!

no doubt.  Also, grad transfers will be available up into the summer.

This reminds me of last week, when all was a disaster, doom and gloom - then we signed Coleman, then Hollywood, and suddenly the crowd goes wild.

There will be multiple injuries. Probably at different times, but guys will miss time/games during the year. There’s not many seasons you go Ofer on OL injuries during a 12-16 game season. So I’m with you.

i’ve got a pretty good feeling our OL starters will be set this weekend 🧐

John Turntine lll is gonna be a freak of an athlete! If he puts on some more weight! Could he make a run for a spot ? I would think he could

He’s going to be good for Texas. But need 30 pounds. I don’t suspect he’s an option for 2026

I think he would be a good addition to play guard. 29 games started and graded as one of the best in the G5.
