They can actually pick up twists now. Amazing

Is that a scheme change or actually successfully doing what the scheme already was?

This is the 2nd worst offensive line he's had in three years. Last year's OGs were terrible. This year it's the Tackles. Plus, his running game is worse this year and that adds extra pressure because the defense doesn't worry about it. The Texans can easily win the SB with a few more parts. CJ proved against KC and the Bills he CAN out duel the best. He just needs more maturity and consistency. I believe he gets there. The kid has a fire and faith I really like. 🤘

Nicely written. I feel the same.

Dude should have been left at Gillette. 1st time I've questioned Demeco by not giving Mills run in the 2nd half

CJ has shown what he is. Try to trade him for some pieces this offseason while you still can.

I have to admit, it was hard to watch CJ’s performance the last two games. I would still like to see what he can do behind a better offensive line.

That OL is horrible, but Stroud’s decision making has been atrocious.

If they don't dump Stroud, they are idiots. Constantly throws into triple coverage. A hand injury doesn't make you stupid.

Sadly I think we've seen what cj is. His rookie season gave me hope, but thats all gone. Ill die on the hill of you never draft a qb from OSU

Let’s say we make a change from CJ. Who is replacement? Davis Mills is not gonna take a team to the SB. Trade up to draft one and have a rookie QB behind a subpar OL? CJ finished 11th in QBR for the 2025 season. His playoff QBR is 8th ahead of Rodgers, Lawrence, and Hebert and was a few QBR points behind Stafford and Maye. Playing behind a bad OL and with his main targets all injured. What free agent is out there? Geno Smith? Willis? Unless CJ wants too much money, I think we might be “stuck” with him for a few more years. I really would like to see what he can do behind a better OL.

All that talk about how his low S2 score didn't matter isn't aging well. OL/injuries or not, dude has horrible decision-making skills under pressure. Stroud will not win the AFC (much less a SB) for the Texans. I'll stand by this statement every time.

They need to draft heavy on OL this year and prepare to move on from CJ after the season. Not worth the $ he will want.

Need to fire DeMeco and cut Stroud. Worst QB performance in NFL playoff history. Ryans let it happen.

I come here for the logical takes like this one.

CJ in his 2 most important games of his career : 5 Interceptions and 5 fumbles

The opposite of clutch, who wants him as your franchise QB?  I don't

This was CJ's first year of running the offense from under center. He's still kinda young. He still has lots to learn. And yeah, dude definitely stunk it up in the playoffs but finished the regular season 11th in QBR ratings...behind a below average OL and a running game missing its RB1 all season. Definitely needs to learn how to eat the ball better and live to fight another down. Turnovers in the playoffs were brutal. NFL radio heads in Htown indicated the receivers were an issue in the last playoff game, more so than the OL. Like really bad according to them. Also complained about how the team used Nico all season. Would like to see Nico moving all over the place to make it harder on defenses to scheme. I've written this before. I would really like to see what CJ can do behind a better OL.

Agree to disagree, he doesn't move well in pocket, is afraid to run. He does not perform well on the road in a hostile environment.  He can't handle the blitz well. He can be an avg regular season QB. You can't lock in an avg QB to a 5 year 300 million contact with 240 million guaranteed. It will destroy the team.

I don’t know how realistic it is, but Burrow wants out of Cincy, Stroud can go back to Ohio!

Separately, my friend is drunk on koolaid and thinks the Texans will keep stroud and be able to tank for Arch.

The Texans never addressed LG in the off-season.

Ok. I'm over all the pants pissing about the LG for Texas, but that was funny. We'll done!
