Thank you Legendary Longhorn Michael Taaffe

My son was a year behind Taaffe in HS. He once told me Michael was the most popular kid at school and they called him The Mayor. There wasn't a single person that could say a bad thing about him.

When he decided to walk-on at TX rather than taking a full ride from Rice I remember thinking he was making a mistake that would alter the trajectory of his life and he'd never see the field again until he transferred out. Ha!

Walk On Michael, walk on!

Definitely a Longhorn legend. He bet on himself coming out of high school and won. Now it's time to collect the winnings Mook! Good luck in the league!

GLUE! Every team needs "Glue Guys" who do great things on and off the field.

Thanks to Ms.Rubell. As a Texas Ex and the father of a Longhorn alumna (BS '17 with High Honors) I appreciate her thoughtfulness.

I also appreciate her son's accomplishments on the field and in the classroom. I played high school football in Texas and would have done anything to wear the Burnt Orange but I didn't have the physical tools needed for college football. But I know what it takes.

Ms. Rubell ... thanks to you and your family.
