From my understanding that’s how they operate.  He told me Citrus Bowl with us way before the CFP announcements.  And I was like, “we aren’t making it?” FYI, I knew we weren’t.  But he didn’t act like bowl stuff was projection, he just knew, if you know what I mean. It’s a differ t level of money for some people .

Bingo. If Michigan waits until late enough in January to hire a coach, this could screw the players/recruits because they can't academically register past certain dates with another school(s). Makes transferring much harder if they want to wait and see.

Nah they can still enter the normal transfer portal on Jan 2 just like everybody else.
My guess is that they probably won't take long in hiring a new coach and it's gonna be one big enough that they don't expect a lot of departures.

They knew about it and waited for this perfect window where you you've gone through signing day and guys can't transfer yet because of the rules and because the normal portal opens Jan 2

Not to be a Karen, but I do feel for the women who were involved in this. There was clearly a power dynamic at play, and it must be traumatizing to have to watch something you probably feel shame about unfold so publicly. I hope they are taken care of by the university. What a rotten program it must be at UM.

That’s crazy. I’ll never understand how you can get a multi million dollar job coaching a sport only to mess it up for yourself like this.
