Feel like I missed this guy?  Maybe it’s somewhere up the thread but an SEC guard with strong PFF numbers.  I’ll take that.

Nice IOL prospect. Also didn't realize Arky had 2 top rated guards.

  • You have my attention. Harkless recorded 3 sacks this season at 6-3, 345.  10 pressures from up the middle would have been tied for 2nd on this year's Texas DL.

  • There are some very firm prerequisites I would have for Texas in regards to portal targets this year: 1. Coming off of season-ending injury? Crossed off the list. 2. I want a seamless positi

  • My thing with A&M flirting with high dollar WR is pretty simple.  Until they get a quarterback that’s able to consistently complete 10 yard passes, none of their moves mean anything to me.

Yep, that seems like a no-brainer. Exactly the sort of IOL we are likely to target. He’s also a Kyle Flood archetype at 6’2 340.

South caroline line was Garbage this year

That’s fine but this guy was their best OL and he’s better than anything we trotted out there on the interior this past year with our garbage interior line. He is absolutely someone you go after in the portal for OL.

Arkansas did have a strong run game this season.

Gotta up the NIL to cover the mortgage, car payment and kids tuition.

We’ll see if our coaching staff agrees with that which i doubt.

This is a very silly argument. Connor Williams and Sam Cosmi were both 2nd rounders that played on some fairly dismal Texas offensive lines. It is possible to be a really good lineman who happens to play with a bunch of scrubs.

These SEC OG grad transfers? I think they have to be to transfer within the conference right?

A silly argument is thinking you know better than a coaching staff getting paid millions to go after who they want. Just because you’re an arm chair scouting expert doesn’t mean they will go after who ANYBODY in this thread wants.

An offensive staff that trotted out the product they did for 3/4 of the season in year 5? Yeah I don’t blame anyone for not trusting those coaches. We don’t have any good returning experience for next year. This guy is light years better than what we have on the interior on campus.

I try not to get my hopes up about this guy or that guy because unfortunately we aren’t the staff, they could unfortunately for our feelings go a completely different direction, the NIL may be to much for a certain guy and so on.

You literally just said that you doubt the coaches would pursue this player (who, according to PFF, is one of the best guards in the SEC). So apparently you know just as well as the coaches do. I think that contradicts your argument. Also, according to your logic, the coaches shouldn’t have pursued Brevard in the portal since he played on a horrible Purdue D-line and shouldn’t have pursued Mosley since he played on an inept Stanford passing offense and shouldn’t pursue any high school recruits that played on bad teams. You do realize that really good players can play on bad teams, right?

Mendoza should not win the Heisman because he played for Cal!

A name I wondered would enter the portal

I saw every one of his games this season and he is a stud. He is undersized but very fast with good hands.

Sam Pittman might not have been a good HC, but he can develop and identify OL talent, that is for sure, even at Arky. That's his speciality after all.

That is not Pff.  Overall, pff had Campbell higher with Robertson not too far off.  Think they had Hutson as higher graded in run blocking.

PFF had one Olineman that was a disaster for us, which is probably a reasonably accurate depiction.

Was looking at Texas portal entrants and it looks like Derek Williams is in the portal. He makes #9 into the portal.
