Given fall camp has kicked off, and we are full steam ahead in fall camp, I wanted to take one last look at how the 2026 roster was constructed. Texas added a key commitment in three-star, five-tool offensive lineman Lucas Rhoa on Thursday morning. A priority target for the Longhorns staff throughout the cycle, the 6-foot-5, 305-pound Rhoa has upside galore that the UT staff hopes to tap into. The Texas Longhorns have landed another out of state commitment, this time from Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson safety Junior Tu’upo. The Longhorns went into the Yellowhammer State and won out for Tu’upo despite the 6-foot-3, 190 pounder being an hour away from Alabama and two hours away from Auburn. It’s the latest example of Steve Sarkisian and Co. going out of state for a coveted target. It’s also another example of Texas winning battles in the heart of SEC country. Camara is scheduled to take his official visit to Texas during the Ohio State game weekend (Sept. 11-13). After cancelling all of his OVs right before the summer started, this will be his only OV of the process. On Monday morning, OTF was able to speak with a source close to the Gilmer product about if he has other Texas visits booked. 2027 Manvel DB Greedy James Commits to Texas *** Hook'Em! Texas has landed its second commitment of the 2027 class with Manvel DB Greedy James. James and his parents were on campus for the Texas - Texas A&M game with his parents where the staff made him a priority from the get go. The Longhorns currently sit with two commits in the class with WR Royal Easton and now James in the boat. Two interceptions and 52 tackles line up the box score for James in 2025. New report from our @Bobby Burton on Coffee & Football this morning: – Texas tight end Jack Endries WILL play in the Citrus Bowl for the Longhorns on December 31st. Following the bowl game, Endries will make a decision regarding his future – NFL or returning to Texas. Endries met with Steve Sarkisian and the Texas staff on Thursday and opted for this course of action regarding his future. The news broke yesterday that portal transfer Laurence Seymore, an offensive guard who was named second team All-American by one press outlet last year, had been granted his sixth year by the NCAA to play for Texas in 2026. Texas personnel had long been confident that Seymore would receive the additional year because of the unique circumstances surrounding Seymore’s appeal. While I can’t (and won’t) give exact specifics, Seymore’s lost year when he transferred to Akron came because of something that occurred off the field. And that was never clearer or paid more dividends than with about a minute-thirty left on the clock last night. The Texas Longhorns hold an Elite Camp every summer that's filled with prospects who already hold offers from Texas or are working out in front of the staff in hopes of landing an offer. Typically held the first weekend of June, the Longhorns moved this year's Elite Camp to the last weekend of May due to this year's calendar making the first weekend in June (6-8) an official visit weekend for the burnt orange. The Elite Camp has been a staple of offseason recruiting during the Steve Sarkisian era.
