Path to a top 5 level class: Texas needs to go on a run The Texas Longhorns 2027 recruiting class ranks in the 13-15 range as of May 6. One of the questions that is being asked of late is if Steve Sarkisian and staff have a shot at a top 5 level class in this cycle. While a lot of that could well come down to how many prospects Texas signs in the class, there is little doubt the Longhorns have a shot to finish with a class inside the top 10 rankings. The No. 4 ranked Texas Women’s Basketball team is just moments away from taking on No. 2 ranked South Carolina. Yesterday the Horns beat No. 3 UCLA with just seven players. That will be the case again for this game and probably for the foreseeable future. Freshman phenom Aaliyah Crump is in a boot after a foot injury. Unfortunately, sources have told me that she will be out awhile. Texas is also expected to be without senior guard Ashton Judd and sophomore guard Bryanna Preston as well.
