  1. Another OV this weekend locked in OnTexasFootball has learned that Petal (Miss.) High defensive lineman Corey Wells is scheduled to make an official visit to Texas this weekend. The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder made an OV to Ole Miss last weekend, and has June visits to Auburn and Mississippi State also on the docket. The Rebels are considered the favorite headed into the remainder of the official visits. Wells was on campus in Austin in the spring, and the returns on the visit were very positive as expected. Wells was a hit this spring with college coaches. The May offers included Tennessee and Florida State. Running back (1) ... Ezavier …

  2. Couple of quick notes: 1. I’ve been told that the returning starter in question - the one we’ve been tracking - has decided to stay at Texas and did not enter the portal. So put that one to bed. 2. I am told one Longhorn of note opted for the portal. I will not share or reveal the name at this time. I’m sure there will be guessing associated with this but I’m not going to do that. It’ll come out in 24 hours or less. 3. Overall, I think this was an amazing job of retention by all involved. From Sark, to Brandon Harris and the entire Texas staff, to the certain individuals, the One Fund, etc. The load to bear was tremendous but I think the…

  3. Started by Bobby Burton,

That we can now confirm. I had gotten it from one source but @cjvogel also got it from another. There were a couple of extra curricular activities during the live action between the offense and defense. Upon the second one occurring, Sark wasn’t playing around anymore. The staff made the team run gassers during the middle of practice yesterday. I want to stress this. It is NOT UNCOMMON during a college practice for things to get chippy. View full news story

  16. Take a look at any 2027 NFL Mock Draft and the majority will have Arch Manning atop the field of players coming out next offseason. On the Up & Adams Show Monday morning, Kay Adams asked UT head coach Steve Sarkisian about Manning potentially declaring early and if Sark would be surprised if Manning wanted to stay in Austin for one more season. “We haven’t had the discussion. I will tell you I would not be surprised,” Sarkisian said. “I think Arch really loves college football. I really do. I think he loves the University of Texas. He does pretty good through NIL. He’s got some pretty good endorsements going right now, which is a credit to him and obviousl…

The redshirt freshman started the UL-Monroe and Mississippi State games with Quinn Ewers on the mend after an abdominal strain. Manning also saw extensive action after the Ewers injury in the second quarter in the UTSA contest. The New Orleans native has made the most of his opportunities leading the No. 2/1 ranked Longhorns, and that includes now being in the record book. OnTexasFootball takes a look at where Manning places in the freshman passing record book five games into the 2024 season. …

Manning saw action in the SEC Championship against Georgia and the team’s College Football Playoff meetings with Clemson and the Buckeyes. Still, Manning knows it’ll be a different experience in C…

  22. Arizona transfer DL Bill Norton has arrived on campus for his weekend visit to Texas a source tells On Texas Football. OTF originally broke the news earlier this week that Norton would visit the Longhorns after entering the portal. As of Thursday evening, I can confirm he has arrived in Austin for his trip that will last beyond the spring game on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Texas of course is still interested in adding additional defensive linemen, with Jay Toia of UCLA and Damonic Williams of TCU having joined Norton atop of the Longhorns watch list at the position.
