DL note on a June visitor Texas defensive line coach Kenny Baker stopped by Lorena (Texas) High in May to watch 2025 defensive lineman Jackson Blackwell. And Texas continues to like what they see. Blackwell, 6-02 and 305 pounds, made an unofficial visit to Texas in March, and is now set to return again in June. OTF's Gerry Hamilton has done a great job with this recruitment. The big concern coming into the weekend was Alabama being able to use its preexisting relationship with Sharma to get the edge over the efforts Texas has been working on the last six months. A few final observations about the Texas season opener against Colorado State ahead of their trip to Ann Arbor to face the defending National Champions. *** I have yet to rewatch the entirety of the Michigan-Fresno State game, but that is on the agenda for some point today and into Wednesday. Texas signees playing in the Navy and Under Armour All-America Games Nine members of the Texas Longhorns No. 1 ranked recruiting class are on the rosters for the All-American Games being played in the tqwo and half weeks. USC DT Bear Alexander took to twitter Wednesday afternoon to silence the reports and speculation about a potential portal entry.
