I spoke with a high-ranking official at the University of Texas this morning. One of the expected outcomes of the scholarship roster expansions will be the creation of more women’s sports teams at Texas. If the numbers divulged by the Yahoo! report are accurate, and the source I spoke with says they are, it creates roughly 60+ new men’s scholarship opportunities compared to just roughly 20 on the women’s side. That disparity will put Texas, and others, at odds with federal Title IX legislation that requires scholarship opportunities to be equal on both sides. Ohio State has won the National Championship. Oh, to be a student on campus at the time of a National Title win in football. I listened to Mike Elko and Marcel Reed today. And I talked at length with Billy Liucci. On paper, I think the Aggie schedule is conducive to a 9- or 10-win season. OTF spoke with Ruston (La) High 2025 CB Aidan Anding prior to his flight home. He gave the Texas visit a “Ten out of ten”. Anding said he will spend time talking to his family and DB coach at Ruston High this week, and announce a decision next weekend - if not earlier in the week. Aidan Anding: The latest Texas has not let up in the recruitment of OnTexasFootball 4-star defensive back Aidan Anding (Ruston, La./High). Anding, 5-11 and 175 pounds, made an unofficial visit to LSU last weekend with his mom and two brothers. The same quartet that made two visits to Texas, including an official visit in June. Steve Sarkisian changed responsibilities for his game day coaching staff on Saturday in Starkville. I reported prior to kickoff that co-offensive coordinator and QB coach AJ Milwee moved from the sidelines to the coach's box for the first time this season. The Crimson Tide went from No. 123 in the country in 2024 in penalty yardage per game (69.1) to No. 17 in 2025 (39.7).
