2028 Five-Star DL Kellan Hall Reacts to Texas Camp + Offer *** One of the top players in the country for the 2028 class made his first visit to Austin on Sunday and left with an offer in hand, and some photos from a makeshift family reunion. The Longhorns hosted the No. 2 defensive lineman in the country on Sunday, Kellan Hall, out of Louisville, Kentucky. Path to a top 5 level class: Texas needs to go on a run The Texas Longhorns 2027 recruiting class ranks in the 13-15 range as of May 6. One of the questions that is being asked of late is if Steve Sarkisian and staff have a shot at a top 5 level class in this cycle. While a lot of that could well come down to how many prospects Texas signs in the class, there is little doubt the Longhorns have a shot to finish with a class inside the top 10 rankings. On Texas Football has confirmed with multiple sources that RHP Grant Fontenot is no longer with the baseball team. The redshirt sophomore transferred in to Texas last fall after pitching one season at McLennan Community College after transferring from LSU. He is also no longer listed on the Texas Baseball roster. Terrance Brooks’ entrance to the portal caught many by surprise. But not the Longhorns. What happened? Well, based on what I’ve been told and for whatever reasons, Texas decided to move on from Brooks as a definitive starter. As we've been reporting for months, Texas is looking for depth at defensive tackle in this portal cycle. If you're looking for a current roster comparison of Norton, it's Vernon Broughton.
