Three of those players, at one time or another, felt like Texas leans: North Shore defensive back Chace Calicut, Georgia linebacker Zavier Griffin and New Jersey defensive tackle Damari Simeon. Checked in on the status for the Texas quarterback following the Tuesday morning practice session ahead of the ULM game. First and foremost, to reiterate what Steve Sarkisian and several sources have mentioned to me, this is not expected to be a long-term thing for Quinn Ewers. Barring a setback, I would definitely expect Ewers to be healthy for the meeting with Oklahoma in Dallas on October 12. Dakorien Moore on his three finalists Duncanville, Texas - Duncanville High 5-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore is down to three schools with a decisions expected prior to his senior season. Moore, 5-11 and 175 pounds, will begin the official process next weekend with a visit to Ohio State. Following the trip to Columbus, Moore will play in OT7 Nationals June 7-9. With the Protect College Sports Act headed for the trash heap, it’s time to ponder what the future of college football will look like in the coming years. The latest on 2025 DL JJ Hanne Spring and early June riser JJ Hanne (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./Catholic) will make his first unofficial visit to Texas later this week. The 6-4, 275 pound defensive lineman will fly into Austin Thursday and visit Texas Friday per a person very close to the recruitment. The visit comes after defensive coordinator Peter Kwiatkowski made a visit to see Hanne in May, and PK and Kenny Baker offered June 4. Following this past Saturday’s second and final scrimmage of training camp, Texas coach Steve Sarkisian said he liked what he saw from his team. Steve Sarkisian changed responsibilities for his game day coaching staff on Saturday in Starkville. I reported prior to kickoff that co-offensive coordinator and QB coach AJ Milwee moved from the sidelines to the coach's box for the first time this season. As a result, Co-passing game coordinator and assistant QB coach Mike Bimonte roamed the sidelines and commanded the quarterback huddle when the defense was on the field. It is a subtle switch.
