Could Steve Sarkisian go back to Georgia Tech for his running back coach position? That was a possibility that was passed along to me on Sunday. Norval McKenzie is a name to know in the Longhorns' RB Coach search. McKenzie is currently the running backs coach and run-game coordinator at Georgia Tech. He had previous stops at Vanderbilt (2021-2022), Louisville (2019-2020) and spent three seasons prior at Arkansas State (2016-2018) as the running backs coach and special teams coordinator. On top of that, OTF believes current Nebraska RB Coach EJ Barthel is worth monitoring as well. Of course, there are likely additional candidates in the market vying for th…

With more offers out in Alabama and North Carolina in the past two days, it's clear to me that Texas coaches are "broadening" their recruiting map. Texas is getting ready to be a true national recruiting school IMO.

Starting a new daily thread for folks to publish tweets or news of the day that relates to Texas, football as a whole, etc. Feel free to add lists of rankings, etc. This is to get us started. Yesterday, The Athletic reported that LSU was sent a letter of inquiry by the College Sports Commission, the new enforcement arm of the NCAA for NIL. Well, it sounded interesting and possibly consequential. Until some Baton Rouge reporters dug in. 1. The inquiry was not about football. 2. LSU says they expect to resolve the matter soon. In other words, the scoop of the CSC going after LSU was really no scoop at all.
