Notre Dame outfielder Bino Watters visited Texas A&M during the earlier part of this weekend, followed by visiting Texas yesterday through this morning. That visit is now wrapped up and Watters will head home. I’ve spoken to people on both sides of this recruitment and what I can tell you is that it went really well for the Longhorns. - Volantis didn’t have the best game by any stretch of the imagination, but he was still good. Him giving up four lead off hits is not like him at all, but he didn’t get rattled. It’s recruiting time in Austin, and it’s a big weekend for the defense. One that only got bigger yesterday with the news that Cedar Hill defensive tackle Jalen Brewster, who some consider the nation’s no. 1 overall prospect, will be making his way to the state capitol today to begin an official visit with the Longhorns. Brewster committed to Texas Tech months ago yet has kept communication lines open with various schools, including Florida, LSU, Texas and others. Brewster suffered a torn labrum last year and is still recovering from that to a degree. But his athletic ability is eye popping.
