  3. Sarkisian Feeling "Comfortable" with Performance from Sterling Berkhalter this Spring *** A name that did not grab many headlines during the winter portal is beginning to gain some traction during the spring. Former Wake Forest wide receiver Sterling Berkhalter was singled out by Steve Sarkisian as someone who has pleasantly surprised so far in the spring. “I think, one, he brings experience,” Sarkisian said in reference to the former Wake wide out on Tuesday. “He played in a very similar system at Wake Forest and had a very productive year last year for them. I think of the experience and the understanding schematically of what we are trying to do.” …

  4. Late Wednesday evening saw the Longhorns extend an offer to another rising California athlete – this time it goes to Brandon Arrington Jr. out of Mount Miguel High School in Spring Valley, California. Arrington Jr. possesses elite speed and combines that with a 6-foot-2 frame. This spring, the Mount Miguel standout clocked a 10.43 time in the 100m dash this spring. There is legit D1 track interest here as well. So far in his recruitment, Arrington Jr. possesses 27 offers and was offered by Georgia earlier this afternoon. Texas continues to do work on the west coast, this time it was AJ Milwee who brought the good news. View full news story

  5. Adding to the list of unofficial visitors on Thursday will be 2027 Bastrop QB Weston Nielsen. The 2027 cycle is a ways away, but the Longhorns are continuing to monitor their backyard with Nielsen. During the Elite 11 in late April, Nielsen told me he was planning on camping with the Longhorns June 1 for their Elite Camp. Steve Sarkisian stopped by Bastrop for his first stop of the contact window in January and QB coach AJ Milwee stopped by to watch Nielsen throw in offseason workouts in early February. Both are expected to return in May to watch spring ball. I won't necessarily put the Cade Klubnik comp on Nielsen, but there are aspects of his game that re…

  7. No. 11 Texas will tip off against No. 6 BYU and star freshman AJ Dybantsa on Thursday night in the first round of the NCAA Tournament (6:15 p.m. CT/TBS). Dybantsa is widely projected to go in the top three picks, many expecting him to be the No. 1 selection, in this summer's NBA Draft. On Wednesday night, Dybantsa joined Scott Van Pelt for a quick interview. Van Pelt asked the Cougars freshman about comparisons to Kevin Durant, whose Big 12 Tournament scoring record Dybantsa just broke last week (93 points). “Definitely his work ethic," Dybantsa replied when asked about mirroring Durant's approach. "I had the blessing to work out with him in Atlanta a co…
